ANACONDA — The Butte Muckers scored two runs in the eighth and seven in the ninth Tuesday night for a 13-5 non-conference win over the Anaconda A’s at Washoe Park.
The Muckers outhit the A’s 20-4 in the victory. Logan LaFrombois and Austin Gerry each pounded four hits for the Muckers. LaFromboise hit two doubles, as did Justin Sommers.
Noah Reynolds poked three hits, while Bryson Henningsen added two, including a double. Will Brandon and Robin Bagley also hit doubles for the Muckers. Will Hoagland, Tommy Martz and Logan Sommers each added a single in the win.
LaFromboise and Henningsen each drove in three runs.
Liam Sommers pitched four shutout innings in relief to pick up the win.
Butte High senior Colton Powers tripled to lead the A’s in the loss. Guy St. John, Kyler Fink and Keagan Morris added singles for the A’s.
The Muckers are back in action Saturday when they play host to Dillon in a Southern A doubleheader at Copper Mountain Park.
