It took all day, but the Butte Muckers were able to get their wet field at Copper Mountain Park playable on Monday.

That hard work, however, didn’t pay off in the form of a win for the home team.

The Helena Reps scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to break the game open in a 10-3 win over the Muckers.

The teams were scheduled to play two in Butte on Sunday, but both were washed out by the heavy, daylong rainfall. The teams will play a twin bill in Helena on Tuesday.

Brett Jacobs scattered four hits over seven innings, striking out five, to get the win for the Reps. Jacob Howell drove in four runs, while Talon Burchard, Conor McCarvel and Nik Jemmings each poked a pair of singles. Caeden Suero doubled.

Tucker Winston singled and drove in two runs for the Muckers. Trevor Neumann singled and knocked in a run, and Quinn Sullivan and Scout Allen each added singles.

Cameron Johnson pitched into the seventh inning for the Muckers. Only three of the runs he surrendered were earned.
