THREE FORKS — The Butte Muckers went 0-2 on the first day of Gallatin Valley’s tournament Friday.
Butte fell 9-1 to the Bozeman Bucks B before dropping a 9-5 decision to the Helena Independents.
The Muckers will play the Bitterroot Red Sox at 10:45 a.m. Saturday. They will play the Billings Blue at 1 p.m. On Sunday, Butte will take on the Gallatin Valley Posse at 3:15 p.m.

Mac Melvin struck out six batters, and Louis Musial and Braeden Matthews each pounded a pair of hits to lead Bozeman to the win.
Zach O’Connell doubled, and Derek Dunmire, Lucas Harris-Huerta, Matt Donaldson and Colby Gordon singled for the Muckers.
Gordon pitched the distance, giving up just two earned runs. Seven Butte errors led to seven unearned runs.

The Independents score three runs in each of the last three innings for the come-form-behind win.
Tyler Beaver doubled and drove in four runs, and Ryker Roman, Cole Flugge and Liam Priebe each smacked two hits. Priebe drove in three runs.
Dunmire, O’Connell and Garrett Sharp singled for the Muckers.
