The Butte Muckers and Dillon Cubs B split an American Legion Baseball Doubleheader at a sometimes rainy but mostly pleasant 3 Legends Stadium Friday night.

Dillon won the opener 5-3 before the Muckers bats busted loose 16-4 victory. Both games were scheduled for five innings.

The Cubs rallied for three runs to break a 2-all tie in the top of the fifth inning in the opener. The rally came after Cubs relieve Kale Konen pitched out of a bases-loaded, nobody out jam in the bottom of the fourth. He fanned three straight Muckers to escape.

Playing for Butte Friday night were Sean Ossello, Anthony Knott, Quinn Cox, Trey Hansen, Jake Tauscher, Garrett Sharp, Gavin Trudgeon, Derek Dunmire, Jakob Nielson, Mike McGivern, Zach O’Connell, Jonas Sherman, George Riojas, Cameron Tobiness and Tyler Duffy.

Boxscores for Friday’s games are currently not available.

Next up for the Muckers is a Sunday doubleheader in Great Falls. The Butte Miners will play three games against the Glacier Twins this weekend on Miners Field.

Butte and Glacier will play a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. The teams will play on game on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m.
