WHITEFISH — Ryan Moodry went 5 for 5 with an RBI single in the ninth inning Saturday.

Jared Haran also stole home in the ninth inning, and those runs proved to be the difference Saturday as the Butte Miners beat the Glacier Twins 5-4 in a non-conference game.

The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader but they switched to one nine-inning game because of rain.

Derek Kastella hit a pinch-hit two-run single in the bottom of the ninth. Kastella, was stranded at third as the tying run.

Kilian O’Leary scattered seven hits over eight innings to get the win. He struck out two and walked two. Trey Hoagland got the save.

Hoagland also hit a double for Butte, which got singles from Nate LeProwse, Braxton Henningsen and Renzy Doherty.

The Miners will a doubleheader in Kalispell on Sunday.
