Excitement surrounding the Montana Tech home football opener is always festive, but no game has more hype than this year. The No. 6 Orediggers host (RV) Carroll College in a Thursday night home opener on Bob Green Field at Alumni Coliseum at 7 p.m. That’s not all, the Orediggers are wearing new Copper Uniforms.
Thee Copper Game sponsored by Rocky Mountain Credit Union started as a new tradition a year ago and is now elevated with the new Copper Uniforms. In addition, 500 Copper Mining Helmets will be handed out in the tailgate prior to kickoff.
And don’t forget about the Copper Shirts.
Universal Athletics is selling Montana Tech Copper Shirts now and at the tailgate on Thursday. Show your support for the Orediggers by wearing one of these limited edition Copper t-shirts. The shirts are only $15 and the proceeds are going back to Montana Tech Athletics and the Digger Athletic Association.
The Tailgate Areas open at 4:30 p.m. and Universal Athletics will have a booth inside the VIP Tailgate Area. Kickoff is set for7 p.m. Make sure to wear your Copper Shirt.
