In a surprising upset, the Western Bulldogs swept the Orediggers this afternoon. The teams are in the second round of the Frontier Conference Preseason tournament in Billings. Montana Tech beat Northern earlier today, while Western beat Providence in a decisive 3 sets.
The 1pm matchup pitted the 10-5 Orediggers against the 7-6 Bulldogs. The Bulldogs pulled out the win in 3 sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-16). Maureen Jessop led the Orediggers with an impressive 16 kills. Olivia Muir and Taylor Henley each had 4 kills for the ‘Digs. On the defensive side, Olivia Caddy had 15 digs, while Jessop and McKenna Kaelber each contributed 7 to the effort.
