Montana Tech stays at 10, Western moves up to 22

The week off had no effect on the Montana Tech football team in the NAIA Top 25 coaches’ poll.

The Orediggers are ranked No. 10 in the nation for the third straight week. The latest poll was released today.

Montana Western and Eastern Oregon, however, moved up in the poll, and Rocky Mountain College jumped back into the poll at No. 25. The Bulldogs, Mountaineers and Battlin’ Bears all had Saturday off.

Western moved up two spots to No. 22, while Eastern Oregon bumped up one to a tie for No. 16. Southern Oregon stayed at No. 9 after a close home victory over the College of Idaho.

In all, the Frontier Conference has five teams ranked. The league saw six teams crack the Top 25 three weeks ago.

Marian (Indiana) remains in the top spot. Baker (Kansas) moved up one to No. 2.’

Montana Tech will celebrate Homecoming Saturday when the Orediggers take on Montana Western. In other Frontier games, Carroll College will play at the College of Idaho, Southern Oregon heads to Rocky Mountain College, and Eastern Oregon will travel to MSU-Northern.
