You can call the first Montana Tech Punt, Pass and Kick competition a success.
Despite windy, wet conditions, 108 boys and girls showed up Sunday afternoon to show off their athletic ability on Montana Tech’s Bob Green Field. The top three finishers in each age group will participate in an exhibition at halftime of Tech’s home football game against Rocky Mountain College.

Each participant received a football and a coupon for a free kids buffet at Pizza Ranch. They will also receive a T-Shirt that can be picked up at Tech’s Nov. 11 football game against Southern Oregon.
Montana Tech and several sponsors stepped up to take over the program after the NFL discontinued PPK, which dates back to 1961. Event sponsors are Montana Tech Football, The Montana Tech Foundation, Pizza Ranch, Northwestern Energy, The Butte YMCA, Mining City Little Guy Football, A-1 Ambulance and Quilici Glass.
