Montana Tech men see comeback fall short

Montana Tech’s men’s basketball team made a valiant comeback attempt Thursday night at the HPER Complex.

The deficit was just too much to overcome, though, and No. 23 Carroll College left town with a 74-67 Frontier Conference win over the Orediggers. Stats

Ryan Imhoff scored 17 points to lead four Carroll players in double figures, and the Saints built a 43-26 halftime lead. Match Burnham came off the bench to scored 16 for Carroll. Matt Wyman added 13, and Steven Helm tossed in 11.

Chris O’Neill scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Orediggers. Lukas Vining scored 18 points, and Kale Guldseth came off the bench to score 10 points.

Tech also got eight points from Dylan Pannabecker.

Carroll improved to 14-3 overall and 4-1 in conference. Tech fell to 6-11 and 0-6.

The Orediggers will play Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho, Friday night.
