Montana Tech football remains No. 5 in NAIA poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Montana Tech Orediggers remain in the No. 5 slot of the latest NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll released today.

The ranking comes two days after the Orediggers improved to 3-0 with a 34-28 win over Rocky Mountain College in Billings. The poll, which is the second of the regular season, is the 29th straight that includes the two-time defending Frontier Conference champion Orediggers.

Saint Francis of Indian remains in the top spot. The top seven spots did not change. Baker of Kansas is No. 2, followed by Reinhardt (Georgia) and Morningside (Iowa).

Southern Oregon moved up one spot to No. 13 after Saturday’s 52-28 win at Montana Western. Eastern Oregon fell 12 spots to No. 23. No other Frontier Conference team received votes.

The Orediggers play host Eastern Oregon Saturday on the Bob Green Field. Southern Oregon plays host to Carroll College.
