Montana Tech athletic director resigns

For the third time in less than two years, Montana Tech is looking for a new athletic director.

David Lau resigned as AD at Tech on Friday, the school announced in a brief statement this morning. Lau was hired in May to replace Charles Bradley, who was fired in January after eight months on the job.

Bradley was hired to replace Joe McClafferty in May 2013. McClafferty, who spearheaded renovations at the HPER Complex and Alumni Coliseum, stepped down to take the position of vice chancellor for development and university relations in early 2013.

Tech’s statement said Lau indicated that he was returning to Missouri for family reasons.

The school said it will provide more information regarding the administration  of the athletic department next week.
