Montana girls complete sweep with Wyoming rout

BILLINGS — The Montana girls beat Wyoming again Saturday night. Once again, they made it look easy.

Five players scored in double figures as the Montana stars beat Wyoming 84-35 to complete the sweep of the 2018 Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star Series. Saturday’s basketball game was played at the Fortin Center on the Rocky Mountain College campus.

Friday’s game was played in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Twin Bridges star Kailee Oliverson scored 14 points to lead Montana, which led 40-18 at halftime. Jordyn Schweyen of Missoula Sentinel tossed in 12 points, while Brynley Fitzgerald of Dillon and Dani Urick of Belt each scored 11.

Three Forks’ Shainy Mack scored 10.

Team Montana also got nine points from Kylie Frolich of Missoula Sentinel, eight from Kamden Hilborn of Helena High, five from Taylor Sullivan of Helena Capital and four from Kloie Thatcher of Butte Central.

Thatcher, who will play college ball at Rocky, scored 10 points on Friday night.

Christy Dick’s nine points led Wyoming. Emmery Wagstaff scored eight.

Montana leads the series, which is in its 22nd year, 31-13.
