The Butte Miners will play the Bozeman Bucks Friday night during the South A District tournament at 3 Legends Stadium.

The second-round game is set to begin at 7 o’clock on Miners Field.

Bozeman beat the Helena Reps 7-2 today in the tournament’s first game. Leadoff hitter Jarrett Herz doubled and singled while driving in two runs to lead the Bucks to the win. Quinn Pershing singled and knocked in two runs.

Cash Jones pitched six innings for the win. He struck out five and walked five. Jack Nye got the final three outs.

Bozeman entered the tournament as the No. 4 seed. Helena is the No. 5 seed. The Bucks went 6-10 in conference and 27-26 overall during the regular season. Butte enters the tournament at 17-1 and 32-9.

Belgrade has an automatic berth into the Class A State tournament because the Bandits are the tournament host. One other team from the South A will move on.
