The Butte Miners keep winning at a historic pace as its been nearly a year since they lost, I am not trying to jynx a good thing, rather marvel at such an incredible feat. The Butte Miners did battle this week in a double header against the Dillon Cubs.
In the first game the Miners cruised to victory with a dominating 12-1 win. Anthony Knott was 3-4 with 5 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. Freshman Cayde Stajcar was 2-4 with a run and an RBI, and Zach Tierney said “ bartender…. jack” as hit crushed a 2 run Bomb.
Ethan “Easy “Cunningham pitched a complete game, giving up just two hits and a run while fanning 6 batters in the process.
Gamr 2 saw the Miners sweep with Beavers in a 12-2 win. Kevin Donaldson was 2-2 with a triple and 3 runs scored. Quinn Cox had a 2 run single. Anthony Knott added a RBI double, Ethan Cunningham doubled and scored twice and Cayde Stajcar was 2-4 with a RBI.
Kenley Leary got the win in 5 innings of work giving up 3 hits and 2 runs and sitting down 7 batters.
