POCATELLO, Idaho — For the third time in a little more than 24 hours, the Butte Miners won in a rout.
Kian O’Neill, Coyt Stajcar and Evan Starr doubled as the Miners opened the Pocatello tournament with a 10-0 win over Blackfoot, Idaho Wednesday night. The game was called after five innings by the 10-run rule (Boxscore)
O’Neill and Starr each drove in three runs on a two-hit game. Rylan Richards, Eric Hart and Reece Cox each smacked two hits in the win. Egan Lester singled and drove in a pair of runs.
After pitching in Tuesday’s sweep in Anaconda, Max Demarais pitched three and a third innings, striking out three and walking three, to get the win. Eyston Lakkala got the final five outs for the win.
Tegan Capson and Alex Nawrocki singled to lead Blackfoot.
The Miners will play two games on Thursday. They take on the Rebels at 8 a.m. before battling La Gradne at 1 p.m.
