Miners rally to title game

POCATELLO, Idaho — The Butte Miners scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning today, breaking a 4-all tie on their way to an 8-4 win over the Pocatello Razorbacks. (Boxscore)

The win lifts the Miners to the 4:30 p.m. championship game of the Pocatello tournament. Butte is 4-1 on the tournament, which started Thursday.

Eyston Lakkala hit a two-run double to put the Miners on top for good in the seventh. Rye Doherty followed with a two-run single for some insurance.

Doherty drove in three runs on the day. Evan Starr hit a double and a single, while Coyt Stajcar added a double. Eric Hart hit a pair of singles, and Kian O’Neill hit one.

Hunter Hotalen pitched the distance for the victory.
