DILLON — The Butte Miners split a Southern A American Legion doubleheader with the Dillon Cubs Sunday at Vigilante Park.
The Miners took the opener 15-5. Dillon evened things up by taking the second game 12-4.
The twin bill was is part of a buys stretch for the Miners, who are now 11-7 in conference play. Butte plays at Gallatin Valley Tuesday, before heading to Helena to start the five-day Keith Sell Invitational on Wednesday.

Ryan Wahl drove in five runs and Aidan Lee blasted a home run to lead the Miners in the opener.
Wahl doubled and tripled to knock in the five. Lee added a single to his blast, and Wolfgang Doty-Basel and Egan Lester doubled in the win.
Butte, which took command with a seven-run third inning, also got singles by Hunter Bugni, Peyton Hettick, Ryan Burt and Coyt Stajcar.
Rylan Richards pitched into the fifth, fanning six and working around eight walks to get the win. Kenley Leary finished the game with two and a third innings of shutout ball.
Jace Fitzgerald, Hunter Wentworth, Ben Jones and Cole Johnston singled for the Cubs.

The Cubs turned the tables with a seven-run second inning in Game 2.
Pete Gibson slowed down the Miner offense by striking out seven and walking three in six innings of four-hit ball.
Michael Hupp and Wentworth doubled, and Hupp and Fitzgerald each drove in two runs to lead the Dillon offense. Hupp joined Conner Curnow and Jade Morast with a two-hit game.
Lester hit a pair of singles from the leadoff spot for the Miners. Bugni, Lee, Hettick, Richards and Reece Cox singled.
