HELENA — The Butte Miners used a five-run fourth inning to overcome a 7-3 deficit to beat the Saskatoon D-Backs 8-7 Friday at the Keith Sell Tournament at Kindrick Legion Field.

The win put the Miners at 1-0-1 through the first day of the tournament that runs through the weekend.

Dylan McDonald went 2 for 3 from the No. 9 hole to lead the Miners. Ryan Moodry, Zach Hart and Trey Hoagland added singles. Jared Haran and Heart each drove in a pair of runs, while Kilian O’Leary and Nate LeProwse were effective in relief to allow the comeback.

The Miners will play Calgary at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. The rest of the tournament will be determined by seed.
