Mile High teams shine as hosts to the 2024 pool play tournament

It was a great weekend for youth baseball in Butte, even better for the Mile High All Stars. The 9/10 team blazed through the competition this weekend running the table at a perfect 4-0.

They took down the Anaconda All Stars 11-0 on a highlight play for Cooper “the slugger” Coffing who raked an inside the parker. Mile high scored 5 runs on 6 hits in the top half of the 3rd inning in the game 1 victory.

They pummeled the North Bitterroot All Stars 20-1, Pierce “the machine” Collins was raking at the dish, he drove in 4 runs on two hits and he also had an inside the park home run.
Game 3 they thumped on Mount Jumbo 13-3, after a 7 run second inning that did most of their damage. Jace “is on the case” Graham tripled knocking in two runs while Daxon “the natural” Dennehy singled and scored a run in the win for Butte.

In their final game against their cross town rivals the North West All Stars. Kooper “big stick”Conway, hit an inside the park grand slam, he also tripled in the 3rd inning scoring two more in the 17-1 victory.

The 11/12u followed suit rather blissfully as they sailed to a 3-1 record after dropping their first game of the tournament 8-4. They were able to turn things around their next 3 as they ran the table to Sunday. They turned around and obliterated the Beaverhead All Stars 22-3. Cruz “the Cadillac” Kissell drove in 4 runs on 3 hits to lead his team, while Hudson Summers and Lane Lisac each singled scoring two runs in the victory.

They won game three 13-4 after a Kissell triple and Brady Hansen sac fly. Kale Alexander grounded out but he knocked in a run to tie the game at 4 in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Rody Johnson also collected multiple hits in the victory.

They ran the score to 10 zip their next game to secure their 3rd straight victory behind Kasin Liston who doubled and scored two runs in the victory.

Both teams will head to Missoula for the District tournament for a right to play in the state tournament later this summer. We will keep you updated as results come in. Congrats and good luck.
