Mike Bartoletti set to speak at BC gala

Mike Bartoletti, a 1973 graduate, will be the keynote speaker at the 100thanniversary celebration of Butte Central athletics on July 16.

Bartoletti competed in wrestling for four years at Butte Central from 1970 to 1973. He competed in the state tournament three times.

He has been a strong supporter of Butte Central through the years. Bartoletti has been involved in helping build the Maroon Activity Center. Mike has also been a volunteer coach for the Central Junior High wrestling program. All four of his children are graduates of Butte Central High School.

Tickets for the 100th anniversary banquet celebration of Butte Central athletics are now available at the Central Foundation office. The Maroons will celebrate the milestone with two days of events this July.

The centennial celebration of Butte Central athletics will begin on Tuesday, July 15 with a social at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The general public is welcome to this no-host event.

The next morning, the annual McArthur-O’Brien golf tournament will be held at Fairmont Hot Springs. The event starts at 9 a.m. and has a tournament-limit for 120 golfers.

On Wednesday night, July 16thButte Central will hold a banquet at the Maroon Activities Center. The event begins with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. The banquet will honor student-athletes from every generation over the past 100 years.

Tickets can be purchased at the Butte Central Foundation office by calling 723-6706. The office will also take reservations to participate in the golf tournament.
