McKaul Ori, Dalton Daum take home top Bulldog honors

Butte High seniors McKaul Ori and Dalton Daum were the big winners at the Butte Athletic Association’s All Sports Banquet Wednesday night at the Butte Civic Center.

Ori received the Outstanding Girl Athlete Award, while Daum took home the Harry “Swede” Dahlberg Outstanding Boy Athlete Award.

In his career at Butte High, Daum received nine athletic letters. He lettered four times each in football and track. Daum also lettered one year in basketball. The future University of Montana football player defended his Class AA State titles in the 100- and 200-meter races Saturday at the Class AA State meet in Kalispell.

Ori received 10 letters in her Bulldog career. She lettered four years in volleyball and three years each in track. Along with teammate Sierra McGinnis, Ori advanced to the Class AA State tennis tournament as a senior.

Other Block B winners were Justyce Connole, Carlee Johnson, Ashten McCloskey, Bethany McLean, Maria Michelotti and Levin Mullaney.
