MISSOULA — Butte Central cousins Nate and Rachael McGree and Butte High’s Abby Dodge took home titles at the annual Russ Pilcher Top 10 meet Tuesday at the Missoula County Stadium. (Results)
Dodge, a junior, claimed the triple jump title, leaping 36 feet, 3 inches to lead the Bulldogs at the event. She also cleared 5-3 to place third in the high jump and finished sixth in the 100-meter race.
Rachael McGree won the 100-meter hurdles in 14.94 seconds. She also placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 34-10, while running a leg — along with Whitney, Lindsay and Lacey McGree — in BC’s eighth-place 400-meter relay team.
Nate McGree jumped 43-3 to win the triple jump, eclipsing the qualifying mark for the Class A State meet. McGree also ran a leg on BC’s eighth-place 400-meter relay team. Blake Burton, Cole Harper and Kyle Harrington ran the other legs.
BC senior Kyle Schulte continued his stellar season in the discus. He placed second with a mark of 152-6.
Also for the Maroons, Brian McGeehan ran to eighth place in the 800, while Kyle Harrington took ninth in the 100.
Bulldog Bryce Gallagher added a fifth place performance in the 110-hurdles. That’s the same place Bulldogs Gabbie Parini, McKenna Wendt, Mijah McLeod and Mar Sorini took in the 400-meter relay.
Joby Rosenleaf placed ninth in the 1,600 and 10th in the 800, while Hailee Regan placed 10th in the shot put.
Next up for the Bulldogs and Maroons is Saturday’s Tomich Invitational at Bulldog Memorial Stadium.
