Beau McGree is making winning look like a habit.

The Butte Central junior put together an impressive three-day stretch this week, capturing medalist honors at two different tournaments and adding to what has already been a standout start to his 2026 season.

McGree opened the week Monday at the Park Invitational in Livingston, where he fired an even-par 72 at Livingston Golf and Country Club.

After opening with a 1-over 37, McGree found another gear on his second trip around the nine-hole course. He came home with a 1-under 35 to finish at even par.

Livingston’s Miles Young also finished at 72, but McGree earned medalist honors through a scorecard playoff.

There wasn’t much time to enjoy the victory.

Two days later, McGree and the Maroons were back on the course, this time at the Beaverhead Invitational in Dillon.

Despite conditions turning to wind and rain, McGree stayed steady. He posted matching rounds of 38 for a 4-over 76, finishing two shots clear of East Helena’s Nate Botteron to pick up another individual title.

Two tournaments. Two wins. Three days.

The victories are the latest chapter in a remarkably consistent start for McGree.

He opened the season by winning the Butte Central Invitational at Highland View Golf Course. The following day at Fairmont Hot Springs, McGree tied Butte High’s Teagan Yelenich for the top spot at the Butte High Invitational.

He has also finished inside the top 10 at both the Frenchtown and Ronan invitationals, giving the Central junior a top-10 finish every time he has teed it up this season.

McGree hasn’t been the only member of the family making noise for the Maroons.

Freshman Mya McGree returned to action Wednesday in Dillon and fired a 97 to finish fourth at the Beaverhead Invitational. Cameron Burnett of Hamilton won the girls tournament with a 77.

For the Central boys, Connor Kachmarik shot an 86 Wednesday, while Cohen Stajcar finished with a 98 and Ganon Button carded a 108.

But the story of the week belonged to Beau.

With the heart of the season still ahead, McGree has already established himself as one of the golfers to watch as the Maroons work toward the postseason.

Butte Central returns to the course Tuesday at the East Helena Invitational.
