LIVINGSTON — Butte Central standouts Rileigh McGree, Ella Moodry and Kinley Hamilton each posted individual victories Saturday, leading the Maroons to a third-place showing at the Park High Class A Meet. (Results)
McGree ran to three victors, while Moodry and Hamilton grabbed one for BC, which scored 63 points in the eight-team meet at McLeod Field.
Lewistown won with 133 points, while Dillon finished with 68.
McGree, a senior, won the 100-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles. Moodry won the javelin while placing third in the 100 and fourth in the high jump.
Hamilton launched the discus a personal-best 95 feet, 1 inch for a victory. She also placed third in the shot put.
Fay Holland won the 1,600 and 3,200 to lead Dillon to second. Sam Anderson won the pole vault.
Lewistown also won the boys’ title with 106.5 points. Dillon finished a close second at 105, and Laurel placed third at 73. Butte Central scored 14 points.
Riley Gelling placed fourth in the discus for the Maroons. Kyle Holter posted a personal record to place fifth in the javelin with a mark of 145 feet, 11 inches.
BC’s Caden Kibler took seventh in the shot put with a PR of 38-5 ½, and Garrett Button took eight in the long jump with a leap of 17-0. That is a PR for Button.
Treyton Anderson won the 100 and 400 to lead Dillon. Also for the Beavers, Gavin Garrison won the 800, Ben Steadman took the 1,600, and Connor Curnow won the shot put.
The Maroons will head to Hamilton Friday and Saturday for the Western A Divisional meet. The Class AA and A State meets are the following weeks in Butte.
