TWIN BRIDGES — On a day when Butte Central senior Brian McGeehan ran to sixth place at the Twin Bridges Invitational, Maroon freshman Savannah Parks placed fifth.
The race was run Friday, but results for the Maroons were not available until today.
McGeehan finished the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 26 seconds for his second top-15 finish in as many races this season.
Also for the Maroon boys, senior Nathan Ortega finished in 20:49, while sophomore Jayden Mitchell crossed in 23:17.
Parks completed the course in 23:22. Complete results for the meet are not currently available.
“They have all improved over the last week,” BC coach Bob Johnson said of his four runners.
Next up for the Maroons is the Harrison Invitational on Sept. 9.
