WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech’s Maureen Jessop was named the Erck Hotels/ Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week.
The award is the fifth for Jessop this season who also leads the conference in total kills and kills per set.
Last week, the Orediggers locked up the Frontier regular season title with a 9-1 conference record. The Orediggers are the top seed in the Frontier Conference Tournament this weekend. Tech defeated Montana Western 3-2 in Dillon and swept MSU-Northern at home on Friday.
Jessop, an outside hitter from Corvallis, Montana, had a season-best 26 kills in the match against Western and totaled 41 on the weekend with just seven hitting errors. Jessop averaged 5.25 kills a set with a .337 attack percentage.
Montana Tech plays this Friday at 5 p.m. at the Frontier Conference Tournament.
