CASPER, Wyo. — Jake Mastillo had himself a day on Sunday.

The Mining City right fielder went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and three runs scored to lead the way as the Tommyknockers rolled to a 16-9 Expedition League win over the Casper Horseheads at Mike Lansing Field. (Boxscore)

The win completed the three-game sweep for the Tommyknockers.

Mastillo belted a two-run Johnson in the second inning as the Tommyknockers built a 4-0 win. The victory, thought, was still of the come-from-behind variety because the Horseheads erupted for six runs in the fourth to take a 7-4 lead.

The Butte club, though, responded with six in the top of the fifth.

Carter Dobrinski smoked three hits, including a triple, in the win. Leadoff hitter Miles Hartsfield added two hits and three RBIs. Hayden Brown, Nick Hansen, David Melfi, Steven Strachan and Matt Morgan added singles for the Knockers.

Connor Phelan pitched four innings of relief to get the win.

Joe Schmidt went 4 for 5 with two doubles and four RBIs to lead the Horseheads.

At 6-4 on the second half, the Tommyknockers (22-19 overall) head home to start a four-game set with the Spearfish Sasquatch at 3 Legends Stadium.

The first Monday night home game of the season will include a buy-one-get-one-free promotion on tickets.
