DILLON — Talk about a way to end a losing streak.
The Maroons busted out of a slump in a big way, turning a 2-0 deficit into a thrilling 19-25, 15-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-7 Southwestern A volleyball win over the Dillon Beavers Saturday at the B.W. Lodge Gym.
Seniors Mariah Cooney and Danee Leary paced the Butte Central Attack.
Cooney tallied nine kills and seven and a half blocks, while Leary pounded 10 kills and collected 20 digs.
Also for BC, Shannon McLaughlin served five aces to go with 15 assists. Taylor Marthaller dished up 12 assists, and Danika Neumann hit the floor for 17 digs.
Stats for Dillon are not available.
The Maroons, who swept Dillon Sept. 6 in Butte, are off until next Saturday, when they play host to Hamilton.
The Maroons are 3-5 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
