Butte Central will take on Frenchtown in the opening round of the Class A football playoffs.
The Maroons (4-5 overall and 3-2 in conference) placed third in the Southwestern A after Friday night’s 58-13 home loss to Dillon. Frenchtown (5-2 and 3-1) locked up No. 2 in the Northwestern A with a 28-7 home win over Whitefish Friday night.
Playoff games typically kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
The winner of the Butte Central-Frenchtown game will play at Billings Central the following week. The No. 1-ranked Rams have a bye after winning the Eastern A.
