Butte Central released its sports schedules for the 2022-23 school year today.

The Maroons will open the football season with back-to-back home games. BC will take on Polson Aug. 26 on Montana Tech’s Bob Green Field. Central will play Browning the following week.

After a trip to Whitefish, BC will host Hamilton on Sept. 16. Central will then go to Corvallis and Dillon before battling Frenchtown on Senior Night on Oct. 7. Central will then have a week off before closing the regular season Oct. 21 at Stevensville.

The Maroons begin practice on Friday, Aug. 12.

Central’s volleyball team will open at a tipoff tournament Aug. 26-27 in Hamilton. The Maroons first home match is set for Sept. 10 against Stevensville.

BC will host the Blocktober Classic Oct. 14-15, and the Western A Divisional tournament is set for East Helena Nov. 3-5.

The cross country team will open the season at the Park Invitational Aug. 26 in Livingston. Central will host the BC Invitational Sept. 6 at Fairmont, and the Maroons will compete at the Butte High Invite on Sept. 30.

The State meet is Oct. 22 in Missoula.

Golf is the first to open the season. The Maroons will host the Butte Central Invitational Aug. 15 at the Highland View Golf Course. Central will also play at Butte High’s tournament Sept. 7-8 at Fairmont Hot Springs.

A site for the Western A Divisional has not bet set, but the Class A State meet is Sept. 30.-Oct. 1 in Hamilton.

In wrestling, the Maroons open Dec. 9-10 at the Whitehall Duals. BC will host a mixer on Dec. 13.

Butte Central’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will open Dec. 9-10 at a tipoff tournament in Frenchtown. Central’s girls will play their first home game Dec. 20 against Corvallis.

The defending Class A State champion BC boys will play their first home game Dec. 15 against Eat Helena.
