CORVALLIS — Butte Central avenged another loss on the volleyball court Thursday.
This time, the Maroons need all of five games to knock off Corvallis.
The Maroons left town late Thursday winners of a 16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 15-13 thriller.
Butte Central posted 132 digs and 16 blocks in the victory
Danee Leary led the Maroons with 15 kills and 44 digs. Mariah Cooney and Annie Ossello each killed seven. Cooney added nine and a half blocks.
“It was a huge battle,” BC coach Kaila Minehan said. “Both teams played so hard through the entire match. I am so proud of the fight and finish in my team.”
