The Butte Central Maroon’s hit the links today in Dillon along with Frenchtown and Park.
Park ran away with the team title shooting a 325, 25 strokes better than Dillon at 350. Frenchtown carded at 409 with the Maroon’s 4 strokes back at 413.
Freshman Will McGree led Butte Central with a top ten finish carding a 92, sophomore Sam Henderson shot a 99, senior Randy Larson 100 and Kelton Berger joined the team for the first time this year finishing with a 122.
The Park County Rangers swept the top three individual scores led by Danyk Jacobsen with a 73, Houston Dunn hit a 78 and Chance Marshall a 79. Dillon’s Parker Puyear finished 4th with an 83 and teammate Braxton Turney rounded out the top five with an 84.
Only Dillon and Park had full teams on the girls side of the tournament with Dillon taking the team victory with a 423 to Park’s 448. Park’s Camille Poncin was the individual medalist with a 92, Dillon’s Briley Alberi and Kira Kemph tied for second with 99’s.
The Butte Central boys will hit the links again Thursday in Ronan with a 10am tee time.
