Maroons stifle Stevensville

STEVENSVILLE — The 12th win of the season was the most lopsided for the Butte Central boys’ basketball team.

Senior Braden Harrington poured in 18 points to lead the way as the Maroons rolled to 12-0 with a 60-15 Southwestern A stifling of Stevensville.

The Maroons led 16-2 at the end of the first quarter and 44-9 at halftime. Heading into the fourth quarter, BC led 52-11.

Matt Simkins and Trevor Neumann each scored eight points for the Maroons, who improved to 6-0 in league play. BC also got six points from Aaron Richards, four from Gator Yelenich, three apiece from Luke Heaphy, Ryan Wahl and Isacc Sholey, and two each from Jared Simkins and Thomas McGree.

Kellan Beller tossed in seven points to lead the Yellowjackets, who fall to 0-11 and 0-5.

The Maroons will stay on the road to play Frenchtown on Saturday.
