Maroons fall to No. 4

The Butte Central boys’ basketball team fell one spot to No. 4 in the latest Associated Press Power Poll, which was released today.

The drop comes after the 13-3 Maroons fell to No. 1 Dillon before winning big at Livingston.

Dillon (14-1) was a unanimous No. 1 selection a day after edging Class AA Butte High in Dillon. The Beavers’ lone loss was to Helena Capital, the No. 1 team in the Class AA.

Laurel (13-2)  remained at No. 2 in the Class A. Glendive (12-2) moved up two spots to No. 3, while Columbia Falls (11-4) fell one spot to No. 5.

Billings West, which narrowly escaped an upset against Butte High on Saturday is ranked No. 2 in the AA poll
