Maroons Evade the Vigilantes in 3-0 Win

Butte Central Volleyball picked up a hard-fought win in East Helena last night.  The Maroons beat he Vigilantes 3-0.  The Maroons took the first game 25-16, Second 26-20 and finished the match with another 25-16.

Brooke Badovinac was on the attack all night putting down 11 kills in 17 attempts while serving up and ace and digging 4 attempts by the East Helena squad.  Mia Keeley pushed up 20 assists and Badovinac thanked her by putting them on the floor on the opponents side of the net.

Maycee Anderson continued her season long excellent back row play.  The Maroon Lebero dug up 13 attempted kills, she also had 3 ace serves for the BC squad.  Once again Ella Moodry showed her versatility with 7 kills, 2 Blocks, 12 digs and 3 ace serves.  Hattie Mehring added to the offense will 3 ace serves on the night.

“I liked our play tonight. I felt we stepped up in areas that we have been working on, so that was nice to see.” Coach Hancock said after the match. “The consistency of our overall game still needs to come together, but we are making progress”.

The 3-2 Maroons will be back in action 4pm Saturday at the MAC when Frenchtown comes to town in a key Southwestern A matchup.
