Butte Central Maroons 71 Stevensville Yellowjackets 38
The Butte Central Maroons boys’ basketball team is on an absolute tear this year, almost like they are playing with a chip on their shoulder, they are well coached hungry and maybe feel a little disrespected after their first loss of the season, everyone just seemed to forget they are the defending Class A state champs for a reason.
The Maroons continued that play Saturday in Stevensville, again lead by the lethal combo of Eric Loos and Dougie Peoples.
The Maroons got to raise their banner earlier in the week and they continue to thrive and build off that energy, they absolutely dominated the Yellowjackets Saturday.
Dougie Peoples led the way for the Maroons with 21, followed in a close second by senior teammate Eric Loos who had a cool 18 himself. Other Notable contributors for the Maroons were Zane Moodry who had 9 points, Kyle Holter and Owen McPartland each had 8, Jack Keeley had 5 and Konnor Porchervina had 1 for the Maroons.
Central will take the court again at the MAC on Thursday as they’re as set to face off against the Beavers from Dillon, tipoff is at 7:30 pm
