Maroon Volleyball Sweeps the Beavers

Back in the comfort of the Maroon Activity Center the volleyball team took their game to a new level sweeping the Dillon Beavers 3-0 on the night and on the season.  The victory 25-19, 25-15 and 26-16 takes the Maroon record to 5-4 on the season.

“We played pretty consistent tonight, & had an overall good win against a tough Dillon team. We had very little serving errors, & when we serve well, we do well.” Coach Hancock shared, “I feel the chemistry, & communication are starting to come along, bringing our game to the level it needs to get to. Great win for us tonight”.

Once again the team effort came from the play at the net.  Ella Moodry had a .500 percentage putting down 11 of her 22 attempts.  Brooke Badovinac had 7 kills and 21/2 blocks along with 2 ace serves on the night.  Lucy Kelly spiked 2 kills and a block.

It was Molly Drew’s turn to show her versatility knock down to kills stuffing a block. Serving 3 ace serves and popping up 7 digs.  Maycee Anderson dug 12 and Moodry saved 8.

Setter Mia Keeley ran the Maroon attack with 21 assists and had one and a half blocks.

Butte Central travels to Corvallis Saturday night at 7, looking for the season sweep on the Blue Devils.  The girls return home next weekend to hos the Blocktober Classic tournament.
