The Butte Central Volleyball had another successful road trip today. The Maroons traveled to Frenchtown for a Southwestern A conference match and left with a 3-0 victory. The win moves the BC record to 4-2.
“I liked our perseverance today. We closed out the last two games, coming back from being behind.” Coach Hancock said, “As a coach, you like to see that competitive drive to win, even when down 24-21 as it was in the 3rd game. Frenchtown has some strong hitters, that we had a hard time with. So I felt we emphasized in the areas we are strong in, which was key for us today.”
The Maroons won the first game 25-17, game two was a back and fourth battle with the girls from Butte prevailing 25-22. The Maroons were down 24-21 facing game point when Ella Moodry took over “Ella Moodry had a solid game, & was key for us in that 3rd game. She was on today, & playing smart.” Hancock added “Brooke Badovinac had some tough play up front for us as well. Maycee Anderson is doing a great job for us back in the libero position, becoming more consistent & getting hard hit balls up & playable. Mia Keeley has been a consistent force in running our offense, & making big plays out there when we need them.”
Butte Central returns to the MAC Thursday night for a conference match with Hamilton at 7pm.
