STEVENSVILLE — Butte Central’s girls’ basketball team rebounded from Thursday’s loss in Anaconda in a big way.
Less than two days after falling to the Copperheads, Brooke Badovinac poured in 23 points to lead Central to a 47-28 Southwestern A win over Stevensville.
The victory lifted BC to 4-1 in Conference play, and eight Maroons contributed in the win.
Central led 27-19 at halftime, and the Maroons secured the win by holding the Yellowjackets to just nine second half points.
Kathryn Lalicker came off the bench to score seven points for the Maroons. Sofee Thatcher tossed in six points.
Central got four points from Brenna Foley, three from Ella Moodry and two apiece from Mollie Drew and Payton Hartwick. Maycee Anderson also contributed for the Maroons (5-3 overall).
Claire Hutchinson dropped 11 points to lead the Yellowjackets. Dawsyn Brewer scored six, and Cambree Praast netted five.
Next up for the Maroons is a trip to Dillon on Thursday. BC will play host to Hamilton next Saturday.
