DICKINSON, N.D. —Mandy Machinal bounced back in a big way Saturday.
The Montana Tech sophomore guard poured in 28 points as Montana Tech beat Dickinson State 86-78 in a Frontier Conference women’s basketball game.
Machinal scored just two points in last week’s home loss to Carroll College.
Laini Kalumbi, who also scored just two points against the Saints, tallied 19 points in the victory. Kalumbi also pulled down seven rebounds. In all, Four Orediggers reached double figures with Dannii Devenny scoring 13 and Lisa Laslovich netting 10.
Kelsey DeWit added eight points and seven boards for Tech, which improved to 6-4 in conference and 13-9 overall.
Janae Moore scored 18 points to lead Dickinson, which fell to 1-7 and 6-16. Five Blue Hawks scored in double figures. Twin Bridges product Dawn Degel scored 12.
The Orediggers are back at home next Friday and Saturday when t hey play MSU-Northern and Dickinson State.
