Montana Tech junior and Montana Western senior Sammi Bignell took home second-team All-Frontier Conference honors.
The all-conference team was announced today. Machinal and Bignell were joined on the second team by Carroll College junior Bailey Snelling.
The list of honorable mention players includes Tech senior Kelsey DeWit, Western junior Jenna Banks, Western senior Roxy Thurman, Carroll junior Kalee Junkermier and MSU-Northern freshman and Butte High graduate Natalee Faupel.
Westminster College senior forward Alli Blake earned Player of the Year honors.
Blake was joined on the first team by Lewis-Clark State’s Tanis Fuller, MSU-Northern’s A’Jah Edwards the University of Great Falls’ Lindsey Abramson and Erin Legel, and Westminster teammate Tia Papas.
For the third year in a row, Westminster College’s Shelley Jarrard was selected Coach of the Year. Jarrard led Westminster to the regular season conference and tournament championship and a berth to the national tournament.
Edwards was named Newcomer of the Year, and Pappas was named Defensive Player of the Year. Caelyn Orlandi of Lewis-Clark State was named Freshman of the Year.
Westminster College junior guard Amy Krommenhoek was selected the league’s 6th Player of the Year.
