Just days before Butte High’s senior-night victory over Big Sky — on his birthday — Hudson Luedtke sat down to reflect on a career that has already rewritten the Bulldogs record book.
The all-time leading scorer broke the school record as a junior and has since pushed his total past 1,608 career points. The numbers speak loudly, but the journey behind them carries even more weight.
In Episode 1 of the Butte Sports Podcast, Luedtke discusses the work that built his scoring legacy, the expectations that come with being the focal point of a program, and the responsibility of leadership during his senior season.
The conversation also explores the unique dynamic of playing for his father, balancing emotion with execution, and staying focused on team goals with the postseason approaching.
The timing made the week even more memorable. A senior-night win over Big Sky, celebrated on his birthday, served as another chapter in a season that continues to build momentum.
Episode 1 officially launches the Butte Sports Podcast, a new platform dedicated to telling the stories behind the box scores across Butte and Montana athletics.
