Lone Peak boys, Belt girls top C golf

SEELEY LAKE — The Belt girls and Lone Peak boys golf teams captured the Class C state titles Wednesday at the Double Arrow Lodge Golf Course.

Belt shot a 287 on the final round for a 591 to easily win the girls’ team race. Lone Peak was second at 653. Josie Stinson won medalist honors at 184.

Lone Peak followed a first-round 247 with a 234 for a 481 total. That beat second-place Chinook by 16 shots.

Lone Peak’s Tate Tatom shot a 71 after a first-round 74 to win medalist honors at 145. Seeley Swan’s Micah Nicholas and Chinook’s Lane Seymour tied for second at 154.
