The Livingston Braves swept a Southern A doubleheader against the Butte Muckers Sunday at a sunny Copper Mountain Park.
The teams were scheduled to play one nine-inning game. Instead, they played two games scheduled for seven to make up last week’s rainout in Livingston. The Muckers were the visitors in the second game.
Next on the Muckers’ schedule nine-inning game in Belgrade on May 11.
Game 1
Livingston Braves 7, Butte Muckers 0
Livingston pitcher Zander Petrich struck out 14 Muckers in seven 1-hit innings.
Petrich also tripled and drove in a run to highlight the Livingston offense. Brock Peterson went 2 for 4.
Leadoff hitter Austin Gerry singled for Butte’s lone hit. Cameron Johnson struck out for batters while taking the loss less than 24 hours after a strong outing for the Butte Central tennis team at the Bitterroot Invitational.

Buck Spallone, Sage McKinn and John Becker each went 3 for 3 to lead the Braves 11-hit attack in a game called after six innings by the 10-run rule.
Spallone hit a home run and pair of doubles, while McMinn added a double.
Gerry tripled to lead the Muckers. Bryson Henningsen hit a pair of singles, while Johnson and Conner Miranda each added one.
