Keegan Lince busted out the lumber for Ace Hardware with a great hit and the battery of Mitch Verlanic (pitcher) and Kendel Noctor (catcher) was outstanding.

9-10 Majors Baseball
Universal Athletic (Northwest) 8, Pioneer Technical 7
In what may have been the most thrilling 9-10 game of the year, Pioneer Technical posted a 2-out, 2-run rally to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth. Ethan Cunningham’s two hits, Tyse Powers’ defense and the relief pitching of Jack Keeley all aided in the comeback. But Mason Pennell led off the 7th with a hard single and scored the eventual winning run as Derek Dunmire struck out the side in the final frame to send Pioneer to their first loss of the season. Trey Hansen hurled four no-hit innings for UAS who also received hits from Holt Downey and Braydon Pierce.

Montana Broom and Brush 11, Pepsi 10
Broom and Brush held off a late rally from Pepsi to remain undefeated. The comeback attempt was lead by the hitting of Eric Schultz and Cameron Medina, Kaleb Garner pitched an excellent game. MBB built their early lead on the hustle of Will Fitzpatrick and the bats of Gavin Trudgeon and Austin Shabel.

Montana Broom and Brush 9, Hanging Five 5
Grady “Tuff” Winston gave his team three strong innings on the mound, Aidan Ossello doubled and Keytahn Riddle had himself a couple good at-bats for MBB. Hanging Five was helped by the defense of Ben Tierney, the hustle of Kylan Brulla and Mason Armstrong’s six “K’s”.

McGree Trucking 5, Universal Athletic (Northwest) 2
In a good old fashion pitchers duel Kale McDonald pitched a complete game two-hitter for McGree outlasting Universal’s Kennedy Long. Matthew Fury and Braydon Pierce had good at-bats for UAS. But it wasn’t enough thanks to McDonald, the great defense of Tyson Zeren and grinding at-bats by Liam Kindt.

Front Street Station 6, Glacier Bank 5
Bo Demarais picked up the win with three shutout inning for Front Street. But there was some offense too, Kolbe Lamme was a homer short of the cycle and Dougie Peoples went 3-3 with two doubles, he also blasted a game winning homerun. The pitching of Rye Doherty, defense of Mikey O’Dell (1st) and Breyer Frey (LF) weren’t enough to hold Glacier down.

Andrew Booth scored the game winning run in walk-off fashion to knock off unbeaten Royse’s 5-4. Booth also had three hits including a inside-the-park homerun, Hayden Allen also scored two runs. Peyton Hettick’s RBI triple, Kaden Hennessey’s hustle on the base paths and Connor St. Pierre’s two hits led Royse’s.

Yates Bodyshop 12, Lisac’s 5
The bats of Eric Hart and Carson Barry did the damage for Yates while the pitching of Kenley Leary held opposing batters down. Wolfgang Doty-Basel pitched well, Tucker Fullton and Bryan Holland both had hits for Lisac’s.

Lisac’s 4, Photostars 3
Bode Jensen put the fire out for Lisac’s in the final frame with their 4-3 win at Northwest over Photostars. Jensen also contributed with his bat blasting a homerun, Tanner Compton also doubled for the winning team. Andrew Booth’s 15 strikeouts and Jacob Olsen’s solo homer weren’t enough for Photostars to bring home the “W”.
