Little Guy Football Week 2 roundup

Following are the game reports for Week 2 of the Little Guy Football season. Games are played Saturday morning at Copper Mountain Park.

Rainbow Photo/John’s Pork Chop Patriots 30, Lil Copperhead Falcons 7

Lance DuBois had some big hits on defense and special teams to lead a great all-around team performance by the Patriots. Donnegan Norton had a great punt return and played solid defense, while John McCarthy, Tyson Campbell and Kyle Holter made great plays and scored TDs at running back. Also, Jake Rowe, Ty Jacobs and Reid Hicks exhibited great play.

Ethan Goldberg scored on a 7-yard run to lead the Falcons. He also recovered a fumble. Kieran Bjornemo played solid at full back at linebacker, Jake Sather blocked well at receiver and played shutdown at corner. Raine Lofing played great at tight end and safety.

Opportunity Bank Buccaneers 18, Thriftway Giants 8

Mason Armstrong and Trey Hansen scored touchdowns rushing, while Diesel Dale returned a kickoff for a TD to lead the Bucs to the win. Armstrong also picked off two passes, and Cale Johnson recovered a fumble. D.J. Singh, Trey Driscoll, Bob Tyson and Kaden McGillen played “fantastic” on the offensive and defensive lines.

Zander Zimljak and Jake Louma were stellar on offense to lead the Giants. Logan Thomas, Colin McKernan and Bradley Adreon were defensive leaders. McKernan recovered a key fumble.

Newland and Co. Bears 14, Glacier Bank Packers 8

Caleo Jones made a great catch on a TD strike from Drew Badovinac to lead the Bears past the Packers. The go-ahead TD came on a broken play. Trevor Jones, Luke Anderson and Nathan Harrington played exceptionally well on the offensive line. Anderson and Hunter Hotalen played great on defense.

Jeffrey Staton hauled in a 25-yard catch to highlight the Packer performance. Colton Sunderland played awesome on defense, Payton Pressler had a huge game on defense, and Brady Maloughney played well at linebacker.

Harrington Pepsi Chargers 0, McQueen Athletic Club Colts 0 (OT)

Kaleb Paddock and Gavin Roesty played excellent on the defensive line to lead the Chargers in the defensive battle. Bo Demarais had a great run, but was stopped just short of the goal line. Koby Hanni made an amazing block that sprung a running play wide open.

Jake Ricci played tough at center for the Colts. He also made a crucial interception. Austin Schabel played strong on the line on both sides of the ball, and Ty Angore was a lock-down corner. Maverick McEwen also made a critical pick in overtime.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 30, CCCS Rams 0

Morgan McClernan scored a pair of touchdowns, while Cole Stewart and Gavin Vetter each added one to lead the Raiders to the win. Kooper Klobucar was awesome on both sides of the ball. He also booted three extra points. Garrett Philpot and Ethan McGillan each made a great catch in the win.

Ryan Peck stormed in for a fumble take away to lead the Rams. Rylan Mulcahy held the middle on defense, while Santi Baca stepped up and played well at quarterback.

Sports Fanz Redskins 16, Buffalo Wild Wings Steelers 8

John Sullivan picked off two passes and Kale McDonald intercepted one to lead the Redskins to the win. Aidan Tierney registered two sacks and a tipped pass, Wyatt Mullaney registered a sack and played great defense, and Jonas Sherman kicked two extra points.

Tanner Foster and Braxton Batterman played great on the line for the Steelers. Malachi Saleme and Nick Spencer played good defense. Kadyn Fultz caught a TD pass and booted the PAT.

Casagranda’s Seahawks 32, Lil Copperhead Bengals 6

Eyston Lakkala, Eric Hart, Kenley Leary and Connor Konda each scored a touchdown as the Seahawks picked up the victory. Carrick O’Leary played “Great” at quarterback.

For the Begnals, Jaden Connors played great on defense, and Reece Connors played tough on the defensive line. Linebacker Eli Saltenberger picked off a pass, Joseph Williams played great at corner, and Tyler Flint was solid at center and on the defensive line.

First Citizens Cowboys 22, Thompson Distributing Vikings 20

Anthony Knott, Tanner McDaniel and Keaton Snyder turned in a solid effort in the offensive backfield in the victory. Patrick Paulsen, Grady Quilicy, Dalton Pederson and Hunter Holmes blocked hard on the offensive line. Dawson Kriskovich and Reid Whitlock played “Butte-style defense” from their cornerback positions. Sean “TD” Ossello scored a touchdown on a kickoff and a pick 6. The game ended when Eric Loos sacked a scrambling quarterback.

Rye Doherty threw for a TD and ran for another to lead the Vikings. Jager Gunderson caught the TD. Bridger Schutte dominated the defensive line, and Blake Facincani dominated the offensive line.
