Little Guy Football Week 1 roundup

Following are the game reports from the first week of the 2015 Little Guy Football season. Games are played Saturday mornings at Copper Mountain Park.

Rainbow Photo/John’s Pork Chop Patriots 12, First Citizens Cowboys 7
Doug Peoples played a great game at quarterback. He threw a game-winning TD pass to Kyle Holter. Eric Schulz, Cayden Kibler, Tucker Santell and Riley Gelling all played great on the line for the Patriots.

For the Cowboys, Hayden Matauaina had a big game blocking and tackling. Eric Loos, Ryan Singleton and Joey Sever turned out a great game on the defensive line, Zach “The Wall” Tierny completed the defensive effort by filling in the games at middle linebacker. Quarterback Konnor Porchervina and running backs Sean “End Zone” Ossello and Austin “Run it Again” Phillips all executed flawlessly while running the ball.

CCCS Rams 9, Lil Copperheads Bengals 8
Bryson Sestrich ran for a touchdown, while Holm Jackson recorded his first interception in the win. The Rams defense played hard front to back in the win.

For the Bengals, Ryan Snow played a quarterback, scoring a touchdown. Parker Bisch had a big game on the ground, including running in the extra point. Zane Smith showed off some great blocking on the offensive line, Seth Cook registered two goal-line stops on the defensive line, and Anthony Fitzpatrick had big stops at linebacker.

McQueen Athletic Club Colts 6, Opportunity Bank Buccaneers 0
Grady Winston broke loose for the only touchdown of the game to lead the Colts to the win. Garrett Sharp and Kade Schleeman were strong at defensive end, while Nolan Casey made a bunch of tackles at outside linebacker and Will Taylor played great at safety.

Alexander Anderson and Mason Armstrong recovered fumbles to lead the Bucs. Cale Johnson played great at receiver, Diesel Dale played great on defense. Also, Trey Hanson had a big game at quarterback and punter.

Thriftway Giants 20, Universal Athletic Dolphins 18
Quinn Cox and Tyler Galle were the offensive leaders for the Giants in the victory. Bradley Adreon, Daniel Babb and Dade Corcoran were defensive leaders.

For the Dolphins, Zade Moodry and Aiden Cuchine scored touchdowns. Bryce Keane also had a big day on offense, while Greyson Gillis and Canyon Kibler led the defense.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 14, Newland and Co. Bears 12 (OT)
Gavin Vetter scored two touchdowns and as fearless on defense to lead the Raiders to the win. Kooper Klobucar kicked the 2-point conversion in overtime for the win. Brady Shannon and Morgan McClernan were awesome on defense, and Cole Stewart commanded the offense. Jacob Nielsen played well on both sides of the ball.

Drew Badovinac scored the touchdown for the Bears. Austin Harrington reached across the goal line for the go-ahead TD in overtime. Nathan Harrington led the team in tackles, Luke Anderson was credited with an awesome game, Mikey O’Dell made a great catch.

Buffalo Wild Wings Steelers 28, Lil Copperheads Falcons 7
Taylor Parks threw a nice touchdown pass, while Kadyn Fultz ran for a score and passed for another in the win. Fultz also kicked two extra points. Ethan Cunningham added a TD catch, TD run and an interception. Eli Rand and Cameron Tobiness played a great game on both sides of the ball.

Gabe Galle scored on a 3-yard run to lead the Falcons. Tommy Sawyer scored the conversion. Mikey Moreno was excellent on the offense line, Danny Sonst registered a pair of sacks from the defensive line. Domenic Cline, though, was the defensive MVP at outside linebacker.

Thompson’s Distributing Vikings 24, Sports Fanz Redskins 16
Wiley Dallasera ran for a TD and threw for a TD to lead the Vikings to the win. Tight end Thomas Jensen caught a TD pass, while Rye Doherty ran for a score. Trent Harrison went 3 for 3 on extra points, and Keighton Johnson ran well and had big hits on defense.

Jace Stenson returned a kick for a touchdown to lead the Redskins. Blake Armstrong played a great game at quarterback, David Blue showed some great blocking, Andrew Dillon had a big defensive stop, and Riley Dogle added some big hits.

Glacier Bank Packers 16, Casagranda’s Seahawks 14
Kyler Raiha hit Payton Pressler for a 25-yard touchdown strike to highlight the Packer victory. Bradon Cetraro ran the ball extremely well in the win, while Logan Mills and Dream Eagle played awesome defense.

Kimori Shaw caught a touchdown pass for the Seahawks. Eyston Lakkala ran the ball well, while Riley Downey played great defense and Alli Russell and Camdon Dixon showed off some great hustle.
