HAVRE — MSU-Northern jumped out to a 10-point halftime lead Saturday night, and the Lights knocked off Montana Tech 72-60 in a Frontier Conference men’s basketball game. (Stats)
Caulin Bakalarski’s 23 points paced Northern, which improved to 3-3 in conference and 11-7 overall with the win. Kavon Bey added 15 points, while Mascio McCadney added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Taylor England scored 12 points to lead the Orediggers (3-3, 13-5). Nate Ward and Troy Owens Jr. each scored nine points in Tech’s balanced attack. Derrius Collins scored eight, Drew Huse and Carson Dummer each tossed in seven, and Dylan Pannabecker netted six.
Tech is back in action Tuesday when the Orediggers head to Helena to take on Carroll College.
