MSU-Northern rode a big second half to a 69-65 Frontier Conference win over the Montana Tech men’s basketball game Friday night at the Armory Gymnasium. (Stats)
The win gives Northern the 2-1 regular-season win in the series with Tech.
Adam Huse, one of four Lights in double figures with 11 points, dished out seven assists to lead the Lights, who improved to 8-6 in conference and 16-10 overall. Justin Dunsmore scored 15 points, while Devin Bray joined Huse with 11, and Mascio McCadney tossed in 10.
Kavon Bey, who scored six points off the bench, pulled down 11 defensive rebounds to help the Lights win the battle of the boards 44-31.
Derrius Collins scored 17 points, and Taylor England added 15 points and 12 boards to lead the Orediggers (5-8, 15-10). Nate Ward and Troy Owens Jr. each scored 10 points. Ward dished out four assists.
The Orediggers are will play the University of Providence Saturday in Great Falls.
